The Common Public License (CPL) is a FLOSS license, originally developed by IBM. The license has been ratified by the Open Source Initiative as being compliant with their Open Source Definition, and by the Free Software Foundation.
The license has similarities to the GPL, but also has some important differences, and as a result of these differences is incompatible with the GPL. Some of the noteable features of the CPL include:
